Studio policy.

The massage therapy given here is for the purpose of deep relaxation, stress management, and reduction of muscular tension using relaxation and therapeutic techniques and modalities in accordance with the scope of practice outlined by the Florida Board of Massage. We do not diagnose illness, disease, or any other physical disorder. We do not prescribe medications or perform spinal manipulations.

We reserve the right to refuse service to those under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

We respect and serve all clients regardless of age, gender, race, national origin, sexual orientation, religion or political affiliation.

Appointments

To ensure you receive your full session we recommend you arrive approximately 5-10 minutes early. Beverages are provided in the waiting room for your convenience and hydration.

Clients must be 18 years or older to receive any treatment, or have consent of a parent or legal guardian in order to receive service. A form will be provided at the time of the first visit. Parents/legal guardians are welcomed to sit in on sessions with their minor.

Cancellations, no-show, late arrivals

We require a 24-hour notice for cancellations. If you are within the 24 hour period for your session you are considered “confirmed”. If cancellation notice is not received before this 24-hour period you will be charged the full price of the session.
Likewise, if you do not show up for your session you will be charged the full price of the session. If you no-show twice (2) we will require payment before booking again.

A client arriving late for their scheduled appointment cannot be guaranteed an extension of service.
If the practitioner arrives late the client may either still receive the full time of booked service or discounted service if full service is unable to be given.

If there is a hurricane or other natural disaster sessions may be canceled due to safety or power outages.

Illness

If you are sick, have a fever, are vomiting, or have children that are ill and need you at home within 24-hours of your scheduled service please cancel your session. We care about the health of our practitioners and clients. If you show up to your appointment sick we reserve the right to refuse service and your session will be canceled. Fees may apply

Hygiene and Sanitation

Showering the day of appointments, and after physical activity is required. Please schedule your session at a time that will allow you to meet this requirement. In keeping with our commitment to cleanliness, safety, and hygiene our equipment is cleaned and sanitized after every service.

Comfort and Consent

Please speak directly with your scheduled practitioner about your service and any conditions or changes that may have occurred in your health. We shall not be held liable for any conditions that may arise after any service. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by either party. Clients are encouraged to continuously communicate boundary requirements and concerns with the practitioner.

For massage you may undress to the extent of your comfort. Draping is provided, and required for the comfort of our clients and practitioners.

Sexual Harassment and Misconduct

All services are non-sexual. If sexual advances or sexual intentions relating to the session are made known the session will be terminated immediately and the client will be dismissed indefinitely. If sexual harassment becomes physical we reserve the right to report the harassment to the appropriate governing authorities. Likewise, sexual innuendos and crass joking and speech is unacceptable and may result in termination of services. We reserve the right to refuse service in these circumstances and maintain a zero tolerance policy to protect our practitioners and clients.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service unless specified otherwise by the studio in writing. Payment is made directly to the studio. Cards held on file are not charged unless applicable to our cancellation/no-show policy (see above). We do not have access to credit card numbers on file, and do not share your information with anyone or entity. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, checks, all major credit cards, FSA, and HSA cards.
